Ha, Renee! I agree, we all have to be proud of our strengths! Although part of that is realizing the things that maybe we aren’t as good at, right? lol! Although I have seen time and again that people who claim to be clumsy or not creative are actually capable of a lot more than they think they are! I also always think it’s funny how many of us bloggers, whose job is to basically show other people what we made or cooked or whatever and then tell them how great it is, are actually uncomfortable with compliments in real life. Why is that?! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!

That way clumsy people like me don’t have to try to make them ourselves. When people like my food, I always just try to make it about the dish, and not about me. I’m horrible at taking compliments. Keep being awesome!

Stopping over from The SITS FB Group! This is one of the hardest thing to learn, especially for all of us who have a little bit of a “perfectionist” in us! Right? Such a profound thing to learn, so important to be proud (and share it)!

Thanks Julie, that’s so nice! When I wrote that one I had a feeling I was not the only person who felt that way!
Also, I’m completely in love with your blog header!!!!!!! So glad you stopped by to visit!

I hate the fact someone might feel me making something makes them feel bad that they haven’t (does that sentence make any sense? no worries about making people feel bad about sentence structure then!)
I have completely found that since I started blogging the housework has taken a serious hit – people get fed, clothes are clean, dishes are washed but that is about it! I have decided it’s not possible to do it all and I’m blessed with a supportive family who don’t mind takeaway or sweeping the floor occasionally.
I think it’s much easier to tell someone else they are amazing and should be really proud of their achievements than it is to really feel that about yourself, which is why your lovely husband has noticed what you say. I’m so pleased that the blog is going well, it is very beautiful and full of lovely things, I for one am a big fan :o)

you’re like the little angel on my shoulder that reminds me of this in real life when I do it, that totally helps! xoxo!

We all have to let ourselves shine!

We SHOULD just tell them that! Let’s try it and see what happens! Deal? 🙂

People either tell me I’m crazy because of how much work I put into something, or how they have no idea how I get it “all” done or both. And instead of saying, “I have laundry that was washed four weeks ago that is still not folded” or “I’ve lived in my house three years and my kitchen floor has been washed like 10 times” or “I’m thinking of taking out stock in Kraft” I just tell them it’s no big deal or I didn’t put that much time into it or something else. I wish I could just tell them, “Yup! I love making things! It makes me happy.”
