Hi!
I have found that people’s gauge varies a lot for this stitch, so my best advice is to do a swatch, measure the size of mane that will fit your hat, measure your stitches and calculate the number of stitches you need that way. I have given an exact number in the past and it really varies by a lot for different people. Hope that helps!! 🙂
